Poco M6 Plus appears in certification docs

The Poco M6 family is about to grow some more, many months after the release of its first member – the M6 Pro 5G – back in August of last year. The M6 and M6 Pro have been added in the meantime, and now we should be getting ready for the launch of the Poco M6 Plus.

This model has been certified for sale in India by BIS, so at least one market where it will be offered is very clear. The Poco M6 Plus is allegedly going to be a rebranded Redmi Note 13R, a device which was recently made official in China.

Poco M6 Plus is on the way to India

Now it looks like it will go international under a different name. If this pans out and the Poco M6 Plus is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 13R, then expect it to come with a 6.74-inch 720×1600 90Hz LCD screen with 600-nit peak brightness, the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC at the helm, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging.

So it would have the same chipset as the Poco M6, the same screen size, resolution and refresh rate, the same cameras, and the same battery capacity and charging speed. Pretty much everything about it seems identical to the non-Plus M6, so we’re thinking that there may be something changed – perhaps a beefier battery to warrant the Plus name?

We’ll have to wait and see. As the phone has now started to perform the certifications dance, we expect more details about it to be outed shortly.
