Huawei Freebuds Pro 4 in for review

Huawei launched the Mate X6 foldable on the global stage last week and also introduced the Freebuds Pro 4 TWS earphones to the international audience, half a month after the domestic launch. We are looking forward to our lengthy tests, but before that, let’s see what is new in the new flagship audio wearables by Huawei.

Our Freebuds Pro 4 come in Black, and there are golden accents on the case, hinge, and buds themselves. We can also see the Huawei Sound logo on the side (previously called Histen), which wasn’t present on the predecessor.

Speaking about the previous generation, the Pro 4 keeps the same size of the case and buds, as well as battery capacity, but is noticeably heavier.

Huawei made clear improvements in sound quality and connectivity, and we noticed these changes in the first hour of usage. The buds should deliver 14 Hz of booming bass and clear treble up to 48 kHz, according to official press materials.

We will need time to determine whether these changes translate to anything meaningful in real life usage.

Huawei set the Freebuds Pro 4 price at €200. It is said to have impressive noise cancellation, new gestures and improved tuning, and we’ll take our time testing all these features.
