During the opening moments of tonight’s Game Awards 2024 event, Harrison Ford appeared on stage to hand out the award for “Best Performance” alongside Troy Baker and Bethesda’s Todd Howard.
Before Ford walked out on stage to a thunderous applause, Howard and Baker talked about how well Baker had performed as Indiana Jones in the recently released Xbox and PC exclusive Great Circle. But when Howard mentioned the other person who played Indy first, a big door opened on stage and the iconic music started playing as Ford walked out to cheering.
Here’s that moment below:
Ford was clearly very, uh, lets say “relaxed” during his big surprise appearance at tonight’s Game Awards.
“I think this guy did a great job,” said Ford talking about Baker’s performance in the new game. “If I’d known he was so good, I would have done it myself.”
After that, there was an awkward pause as Ford clearly didn’t want to say whatever was on the prompter and signaled for the telepromter to move on to the award part. Which it did as everyone laughed quietly.
