Google is announcing the Pixel 9 at an event tomorrow, but today the company has the Pixel 8 on its mind. Specifically, the fact that the Pixel 8 is now made in India.
Google India’s X account has proudly revealed the fact that the first made in India Pixel 8 devices have now started rolling off the production lines.
Excited to announce that the first of our Made in India Google #Pixel8 devices have started rolling off the production lines 🥹

Of course, there is absolutely no difference between the made in India Pixel 8 and any other Pixel 8. They’re all the same inside.
So you get the same 6.2-inch 120 Hz OLED screen with 2,000-nit peak brightness, Google Tensor G3 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, 50 MP main camera with OIS, 12 MP ultrawide with autofocus, 10.5 MP selfie snapper, and 4,575 mAh battery with support for 27W wired and 18W wireless charging.

It’s interesting and a bit weird for Google to announce this milestone literally 24 hours before the Pixel 9 will steal all of the Pixel 8’s spotlight, but it is what it is. Hopefully the company will take less time from its official announcement tomorrow to get Pixel 9 production going in India.
