The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are in our office and are ready to get the review treatment. The new Buds3 Pro come with a new case design and a slew of new features, some of which AI-powered.
Most importantly the earbuds themselves have also been redesigned. They feature stems that Samsung insists on calling “blades” – at least the sharp angles give some reason for that. They recognize various gestures, including swiping, making the whole operation more convenient. The blades light up, too with an LED strip running down on each one.
The new shell accommodates 2-way speakers with 6.1mm planar tweeters and 10.5mm dynamic drivers with dual amps. They also support the SSC codec to double the sampling rate and further improve sound quality.
Active Noise Cancellation is still part of the menu, of course, but thanks to AI-powered algorithms, they can recognize certain important sounds, such as sirens and voices and let them through. The AI also helps with cleaning the sound coming from the other end of a conversation during a call.
The Buds3 Pro come with upgraded 53 mAh batteries in each bud and can last up to 6 hours with ANC and a total of 26 hours including the case’s 515 mAh battery (no change there).
As you can see, there’s a lot to cover – from new sophisticated features to sound quality and battery life. We’ll make sure to test the full feature set in our upcoming dedicated review.
