Deals: old and new flagships are in season with discounts and cashback offers

This week on Amazon you can claim additional discounts at checkout time for select phones, some also come with cashback offers, which makes the final prices surprisingly low.

For example, last year’s Samsung Galaxy S23 is down to £505. However, there is a £30 discount you get at checkout and £100 cashback. This brings the final price down to £375 for the 128GB model and £425 for the 256GB one.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is in the same boat – £450 discounted price, minus £30 at checkout and £100 cashback bring the 128GB model down to £320. Note that this model uses the Exynos 2200, so unless you want the larger display, we’d go with the regular S23. Note that these offers are valid until July 2.

If you want one of the Samsung Galaxy S24 trio, they don’t have regular discounts, but for all three you can claim a £50 discount at checkout time. Additionally, the S24 Ultra and S24+ have £200 cashback deals, with the small S24 you can get £150 cashback.

Samsung recently released the Galaxy Watch FE, a budget smartwatch based on the Watch4 40mm. You can grab the Galaxy Watch4 instead – it’s down to just £100 for the 40mm 4G version (sorry, no 44mm watches available). And if you are a Prime Student member, you can get a £20 discount. Of course, the Watch FE is newer and should receive software support for longer.

More phones. The Poco F6 Pro is running with a modest £50 discount right now and you can bump that up to £80 at checkout. The vanilla Poco F6 is £40 off and if you go for the 12/512GB variant, there’s an extra £30 discount at checkout.

No such offers for the Poco M6 Pro, but the 12/512GB variant is down to just £200. Keep in mind that this is the 4G version of the M6 Pro, but still, that’s a lot of RAM and storage for £200.

Last week we mentioned that the OnePlus 9 Pro is down to £230. Well, it’s an even better deal now – this 2021 flagship is down to just £170. But as we warned last time, it has used up all of its OS updates and it only has about a year of security patches left. If you run custom ROMs, though, this is a great deal. And if not, we have better options this week.

We move up to 2022 with the OnePlus 10T. This one should have one more OS update left in the tank (that should be Android 15) and will continue receiving security patches until 2026. This is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phone for just £210, which is more power than a typical mid-ranger in this price segment.

But the 10T doesn’t have a lot of RAM or storage (8/128GB). The OnePlus 10 Pro is in the same boat update wise – it should get Android 15 as its final update and security patches until 2026. The base 8/128GB variant is £270, but you can get a 12/256GB version for just £30 more.

We’ll wrap things up with the start of pre-orders for the Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra. Both phones will be released on July 8. We reviewed the Ultra and while it has a few rough edges, it’s one of the best flip foldables on the market right now.

We may get a commission from qualifying sales.
